How do I sign up?

Sign-ups will be available through a form shared in the #announcements channel. Fill in your Discord name, in-game username, time zone, and availability. Once submitted, you’ll be assigned to a group.

What is the format of the tournament?

Players are placed into 4-player groups. Each group plays a series of 2v2 matches with rotating teammates, meaning each player will team up once with every other member. The format continues across multiple group rounds until the top 2 players emerge as the winning team.

How many matches do I play per round?

You will play 3 Best-of-3 matches in each group round. Each match features you with a different teammate against the remaining two players.

How are points awarded?

• Win a match 2-0 = 3 points per player on the winning team

• Lose a match 1-2 = 1 point per player on the losing team

• Lose a match 0-2 = 0 points 

• Tie-breakers are based on total games won and fastest victory time if needed.​

 

What if there is a tie in points?

Ties are broken in this order:

1. Total individual games won

 

Can I play the same civilization more than once?

No. Each player can only use a their chosen civilization once per group stage. Your civilization reset when you move on to a new group.

What happens after the group stage?

Top players from each group are shuffled into new groups for additional rounds. This continues until only four players remain. The top two point earners in the final group will be declared the tournament champions.

What maps are used?

Maps will be randomly selected from a standard 2v2 team map pool. No map will be repeated within the same group.

How long do I have to complete my matches?

You have 1 week to complete all 3 of your group matches. Coordinate in #scheduling. If players are inactive, admins may assign a forfeit or substitute.

Where do I report match results?

Post match results in the #match-results channel with:

• Match score (e.g., 2–1)

• Civilizations used

• Replay files for each game

 

What if a player disconnects?

• If it happens within the first 2 minutes: Restart the game

• After 2 minutes: Remaining players may vote to replay or continue

• Chronic issues may result in disqualification

 

Is casting/streaming allowed?

Yes! If you’re interested in casting or streaming, let the admins know. Observer mode is allowed as long as all players agree.
