Tournament Overview
This is a multifaceted team tournament featuring structured match sets played over multiple weeks, followed by elimination rounds. The tournament includes 8 teams, each consisting of 5 players. Teams compete in scheduled 2v2 and 3v3 matches according to the rules outlined.
🧑✈️ Team Captains & Group Representation
Each team is led by a designated Team Captain
The Team Captain is responsible for:
-
Organizing and scheduling matches
-
Submitting lineups prior to match start
-
Submitting match results and recordings
-
Communicating with tournament administrators regarding roster or player issues
Captains are not penalized for player issues if they are properly reported to tournament administrators.
🧑🤝🧑➡️🧑✈️ How Captains are selected and how players are drafted
-
Captains are selected by tournament administrators based on expected performance, and competitive experience.
-
Captains will draft players from the remaining participant pool.
-
Draft order begins from the lowest-rated captain to the highest-rated captain.
-
The final captain in the order receives two consecutive picks, after which the draft order reverses in a snake format.
-
No player may be drafted by more than one team.
-
Once the draft is completed, team rosters are locked unless an admin-approved change is required.
📋 ⚔️ Match Participation & Lineup Rules
Each team plays a total of four matches per set:
-
Two 2v2 matches
-
Two 3v3 matches
Each player on a team must participate in exactly two (2) of the four matches.
No player may participate in three (3) or four (4) matches.
A player may participate in a maximum of two (2) matches against the same opposing team.
Captains must lock their lineups before the first 2v2 and first 3v3 matches.
After the first two matches are completed, teams may submit and lock a new lineup for the remaining two matches.
Once a lineup is locked, it cannot be changed.
⏱️ Match Completion Window
-
Teams are given a minimum of two (2) weeks to complete all four matches in a set.
-
All matches must be played within this two-week window unless an extension is approved by tournament administrators.
-
Matches may be scheduled at any time during the allowed period by mutual agreement of both captains.
⚠️ Participation Enforcement
Teams must field all five players across the four matches in a set.
Failure to do so will result in:
-
First offense: warning
-
Repeated offenses: possible forfeits of maps at admin discretion
💤 Player Inactivity
-
Players who fail to respond or remain inactive for 48 hours without prior notice may be marked as inactive.
-
Captains must notify tournament administrators if a player becomes inactive.
-
Tournament administrators may approve a substitute of similar skill if available.
-
Captains are not penalized for player inactivity if it is properly reported.
🚷 Player Withdrawal After Draft
-
Once teams are drafted, rosters are locked.
-
Players who withdraw after the draft without a valid reason may be disqualified from the tournament.
-
In cases of exceptional circumstances, tournament administrators may allow:
-
A forced substitute of comparable skill level, or
-
A reduction in roster size at the captain’s discretion if no suitable substitute is available.
