FAIR MATCHMAKING GUARANTEED
We will use a ranking system to create teams:
Each player will rank all other players from 1 to 'n' (excluding themselves) Once all players have signed up this will be handled on the discord server. All players will be sent a from individually. Based on the combined rankings, players will be repeatedly paired by matching the highest-ranked player with the lowest-ranked player, second-highest with second-lowest, and so on. Time zones will be considered when forming teams, ensuring that both players are in the same or similar time zones to make scheduling matches easier. This ensures that all players have an equal opportunity to advance in the tournament, rather than allowing two top players to dominate and win by teaming up.

Map & Civ Rules
Map Pool
-
Set selected from a standard 2v2 team map pool
Civilization Rules
-
Each team will choose 2 civilizations to "safe ban"— these civilizations are protected and cannot be banned by the opposing team.
After both teams have declared their safe bans, each team will then ban 2 civilizations from their opponents' remaining pool (excluding the safe bans). These bans prevent the opposing team from using those civilizations.
This process will be repeated at the start of each round. -
Duplicate civs are allowed between teams in the same match
-
Game 1: A blind pick — both teams select their civilizations simultaneously, considering the civ bans in place.
-
Game 2: The winning team from Game 1 selects their civilizations first, and the losing team then chooses theirs as a counter-pick.
-
Once a player has used a civilization, they cannot use it again for the rest of the series (Best of 3). However, their teammate may still use that same civilization once.
-
Each player may only play any given civilization once per series (Bo3).
